I found out that the more you like a book, the harder to write it's review because it is impossible to find the most suitable words to describe how much i love this book !!!! Okay, *take a deep breath* here it goes ---
The Hunger Games is a fantastic, breathless and somewhat brutal read that once you start you simply can’t put down again. Initially I had no idea what this book was about or what to expect in terms of YA writing, it had just been recommended to me by so many people and had such a buzz surrounding it that I had to find out for myself why. Well let me say I was not disappointed and have now joined the legions of Suzanne Collins fans in awaiting her next instalment.
Set in a post apocalyptic future (although we frustratingly never learn the why's, how’s or even when of this future.) This new communist-type America known as Panem has been divided into a Capital and its 12 districts. We follow 16 year old Katniss as she struggles to keep her starving family alive, hunting and gathering with her best friend Gale. Unbeknownst to her these are valuable skills as the annual hunger games are about to begin.
Each year these games require two children from each district who are chosen based on a lottery system for compulsory participation. These televised games are then broadcast throughout Panem (with mandatory viewing) as the 24 contestants fight each other to the death, leaving just one victor at its violent conclusion. It’s kind of like Survivor but instead of being voted off the island you have to kill your competitors. When Katniss’s younger sister is chosen as the female contestant from their district Katniss volunteers to take her place. Then together with Peeta the other lottery winner they travel to the capital and begin preparations for the opening ceremonies and ultimately their death in The Hunger Games.
Oddly this has been written without paragraph breaks and I have to admit the first part of it dragged for me, as Katniss is groomed, clothed, and schooled by her entourage within the capital. However as soon as the games begin, lookout! By this point in the story you have become attached to several key characters and its then that you realize things can’t end well as there will be only one winner. Over a period of about 2 weeks and against overwhelming odds we watch 24 victims dwindle as they struggle to survive. Simultaneously avoiding and hunting each other they form alliances, face hunger and mind numbing thirst, mutant animal attacks, friendship, love and ultimately a distrust of everyone as Big Brother raises the stakes to keep the audience interested.
Katniss is no ordinary heroine. Peeta is no ordinary hero. The story is no ordinary story. Even the dreaded love triangle is no ordinary love triangle. NOTHING ABOUT THIS STORY IS ORDINARY. Throw everything that you expect out the window because it is going to blow your mind and leave you reeling.
Yep, there’s humor. Being provocative, intriguing, beguiling, addictive and unique, i find no reason for one to hate The Hunger Games. It's one of my favorites for life, right up there with Harry Potter on my list of "will love it until I die." It's just that great. So, if you have been missing out, go find it, buy it, and enjoy it.

Catching Fire is a crazy thrilling cruel ride that I will never forget! It's malicious, inhuman and frustrating but in the best way possible! Charged with pure raw emotion with ever.single.line, my only thought after reading this book was MORE!!
This is most possibly the WORST (or best depending what you go on) cliffhanger I have encountered in all my reading days. It leaves you more than just hanging, you are grasping for your life on a thread that is fraying and there is nothing to do but hold on (well metaphorically of course). It was filled with plenty of moments that made me yell out "NO they can't do that". I really hate the Capitol and President Snow. Luckily Peeta provided lots Awww moments especially when he said "I wish I could freeze this moment, right now, and live in it forever". xD
I want to scream to the top of my lungs and say that: THIS BOOK IS BEYOND AWESOME!!!!!

I have no doubt the novel will have thousands of readers livid, especially the crowd of readers who mistakenly think The Hunger Games trilogy is mostly dedicated to Team Gale/Team Peeta dilemma with some revolt thrown in as a picturesque backdrop. These books are about love indeed, but they are also about survival, freedom, and peace.
How realistic is it to expect a child damaged by hunger, oppression, and violence she had to witness and take a part in, and thrown into the midst of all kinds of political intrigue, to achieve that? How many soldiers do you know who came out of a war unscathed or empowered by the atrocities they have witnessed? How many children?
This is why this book has such a great effect on me. It takes a very difficult but honest route, portraying the infinitely damaging consequences of war (regardless of the righteousness of its cause) and Katniss's journey to stay true to herself and do the best she can.
Still, there were so many endearing moments in this book, such as Katniss’s Crazy Cat game, the moment she realized she needed Haymitch emotionally and he wrapped his arms around her, her revealing moment that Prim was no longer the little sister with the ducktail she need to tuck and protect, and her real or not real response to Peeta’s final question.
Hats off to Suzanne Collins for penning an epic finale of courageous and daring proportions.

I knew she truly loved him when she started fighting for him, not only for his life but for all those lost memories, for his love.
Mockingjay is my favourite out of three. Love isn't a strong enough word for this story. This book, this series, is epic gold and I can never get enough!
The Hunger Games trilogy was always a series about war and humanity -- and may we readers never forget the lessons learned within, lest we repeat the same mistakes in our own futures.
It’s a very rare thing to find a trilogy like this one, and I’ll always hold a place in my heart for the girl who was on fire.

When I went to the book store, I saw the cover for Fallen, I knew that I simply HAD to read it!

I loved every single detail that Lauren Kate wove into this story. I was left with so many questions (in a good way) and the NEED FOR MORE!! If you have any doubt whether this is a book for you just read the first chapter and you will be hooked.

Torment the second book from lauren kate's fallen series stirred a lot of emotion to the readers. The adventure of Lucinda Price in finding out her past and the story behind Daniel her mysterious angel lover continues. When she found out that she lived centuries after centuries her head swarmed with thousands of questions that no one seems willing to answer and she ventures on finding out the answers herself only to flag herself in danger's way. On the process she uncovers more questions than answers even raising doubt about her relationship with Daniel.
Daniel was a more developed character in this one, I like him. I found him very real. The description near the beginning of Daniel lifting her up in the sky and then taking off for good painted a very vivid picture in my mind. Some scenes I could imagine so clearly, it was as if I was actually there.
The story like its title is indeed tormenting. Varying emotions fire up and you get caught up with the feelings felt by the different characters. The ending surprised me a lot. I actually felt proud of Luce. Despite being reckless and dangerous, she still did something for herself and she did it without a second thought. Of course Daniel would follow, but that's expected.
If you have the time, just fight through the first few hundred pages because you won't regret what happens later on.
The third book :

The only thing that annoys me that there was Sophia in the beginning and that was all. Nothing more about the outcasts through the whole story. It was confusing. But Ms Kate had done an excellent job with the series.
Fallen is the introduction where we can meet Daniel, Luce fallen angel.
Torment is where everything went into a mess, where Luce doubted their love and cursed fate. Torment is what it is named. A torment for its readers.
Passion is where we can understand things.
Rapture will be fantastic with its ending.
My favorite thing in this book was watching Luce back in time. It was really great to see how they fall in love over and over again. Her death is awful but I love the way that it is written. I loved that Daniel had many different reactions to her death. Watching Luce grow-up and not be so selfish was really nice as well. What was interesting was is that Daniel and Luce weren't even together in real time through out most of the most and yet it worked for me. I was suprised by some of the violence in this book as well. Some YA author shy away from talking about how someone died. I mean getting your head cut off was pretty ugly.
I loved how Daniel never gave up. No matter how hard it became. He even realized that by watching his former self what he wished he could have changed. Cam was in there a little and I was pleasantly suprised to read about what caused him to be the way he is. What caused the rift between Daniel and Cam. The ending was cool. Can't say more without giving something away. But I loved how it ended and has you waiting for more . I cant wait to read the last one next year. Should be as good as the other . Hopefully even better.

Wow! What an awesome debut! The Dark Divine exceeded all my expectations. Picked this one up, and didn't put it down until I was finished. Not only was there great charactizations, extraordinary writing and a infallible mystery, but the story itself was just spectacular!
I loved Despain's talent of weaving ideas of mythology seamlessly into the everyday world. The daily struggle of Grace's life, being the person she wants to be, and being the person that everyone expects her to be as a preacher's daughter, marvelously parallels the life of the everyday teenager.... preacher father or not.
The plot was quick and engaging and the ending is completely satisfying, while leaving the possibility for a sequel without being a cliffhanger.
This was just a fun book to read. I enjoyed reading about these characters and watching the plot unfold and the mystery ultimately revealed. Like I said before.... awesome debut!

I really liked that The Lost Saint picks right up from where The Dark Divine ended, and takes right off. What I enjoyed most about this sequel is how much Grace has grown as a character. She's not the good little preacher's daughter who sits on the side lines and pretends nothing is going on. She is on the hunt to control her powers, save her brother and the one she loves. There's romance, more history, a darker plot, fantastic plot twists that kept me guessing at who was behind the new evil that's roaming the city streets and action. Mix all these great elements with some fantastic new characters, and I was hooked.
Oh yes, the new characters. While Grace has found her inner strength, she has yet to get over little insecurities she has with Daniel. Katie Summers, the new character just might feed upon these insecurities and may or may not shake things up just a bit between Daniel and Grace. She's not the only one. Enter into the picture the new mysterious Talbot. Is he or isn't he out for Grace!? What's Jude's role in all this? Is he really out to protect his sister or save himself? That's one of many questions you'll be asking yourself until you get to the every end of The Lost Saint. Let me just say the ending will make you realize that nothing was predictable with this sequel.
I'm really looking forward to the next book! There's so many answers I need and I want to know what happens next.

I absolutely loved The Maze Runner. I enjoyed the maturity of the characters. They were organised and worked together to create a mini society within the Glade (the middle of the Maze where they lived), complete with a farm, canteen, and designated jobs. I can't remember the last time that I questioned a book so much as I did while reading this novel. I had SO many questions that I wanted answered, but brilliantly, Dashner was holding out on me, which only increased my suspense. Why were the boys put in the Maze in the first place? Who are the creators? Is there an escape? Why just boys?
This story had me guessing the ENTIRE time, which I think is rare when it comes to young adult novels. Ususally you can figure out the plot at some point, but I was always shocked. Even right up to the end had me guessing. I'm not kidding- even on the last page I was wondering a few things. It was a roller coaster ride that never once let me catch my breath.

Many YA books that I read tend to have more simplistic plots and characters--but I think older kids want more development. The author has a great writing style--the older fashioned language flows so effortlessly.
PROPHECY OF THE SISTERS is a dark, gripping, haunting tale. You'll love Amelia's vulnerabilities, you'll yearn to know what the keys are--and where they are hidden--and you'll flip the pages ever faster as you near the end. Much like Lia, I wanted to find out the mystery behind the Prophecy. Who was good? Who was bad? What would happen next?

In this installment, Lia is on a journey. She must find that which has been lost in order to fulfill her place in the Prophecy. However, along the way, friendships and relationships are tested as Lia learns that the only true person that she may be able to trust is herself.
Like the previous novel in the series, Guardian of the Gate completely held me hostage. I quite literally sat down with the novel, and probably did not move until I turned the last page. Zink's writing ability is phenomenal in capturing the essence of hope, love, and even betrayal. The world that has been created is beautifully explored, and so deep that, like Lia, I feel as if I know every nook and cranny.
I must admit that Zink surprised me quite a bit with this novel, especially in regards to the romance aspect. While Prophecy of the Sisters did include a sweet romance between Lia and James, the romance in Guardian of the Gate was a lot more mature. I do not want to spoil the awesomeness of Lia's romance, so you will just have to dive right into it just like I did.
While it is going to be torture awaiting the third and final installment, I could not be happier with this series. It has so much to offer to its readers. If you have not read the first novel in the series, PROPHECY OF THE SISTERS, I recommend that you fix that immediately. And once you have that finished, I can promise you that you will be dying to get your hands on Guardian of the Gate :)
